THE FARM
Our farm is managed on regenerative agricultural principles including permaculture, holistic management and agro forestry.
What does that mean?
– Given our location on a gentle north facing southern slope, we always plant on contour to ensure water infiltrates and spread.
– We encourage ground cover, including weeds, that speeds up the restoration of the water cycle and natural succession.
– We encourage bio-diversity buy planting polycultures
– Minimise inputs from outside.
– Use animals to fertilise the soil instead of chemical fertilisers.
– Actively generating mulch and bio-mass, composting and use of earthworm farms.

Our chicken coops are planted with perennial cover crops and the chickens are rotated between the camps.
