The time has finally arrived and we are excited to announce, in collaboration with The Watts Whisky Company, the release of our first single malt single cask whisky. It will be the first in what we call the “Friends of Metanoia” series and planned to be an annual event. This release is now available only online or from the distillery. This is a single cask with only 279 bottles available.
The “Friends of Metanoia” 2025 expression is an unpeated single malt whisky that was fully matured in a virgin oak cask from Kelvin Cooperage in the United States and is bottled at 46.3 ABV.
If you collect from the distillery, get a free gin and brandy tasting included.
Notes from Andy Watts’s tasting notes in October 2024 (he gave it a nifty 90 points then so should be even better!) reads as follows:
Nose – Malt, Toasted
Palate – Fruit, Cream, Sweet
Finish – Longer, warm mouthfeel.
Tasting notes from a more recent tasting read:
Nose – Vanilla tartlet with sprinkles of cinnamon Palate – Lightly spiced, shortbread and butterscotch Finish – Medium with butterscotch.
