METANOIA KLEIN KAROO
Encouraging bio-diversity: our flagship gin reflects what we do on the farm.
Metanoia gin consists of 13 botanicals that grow on our farm and in the Tradouw valley to produce crisp citrus flavours together with classical juniper notes.
Our gin is made by macerating botanicals overnight and then carefully distilled on our Muller potstill. This technique allows for subtle, yet complex flavours.
Klein Karoo Gin was awarded Double Gold at the 2022 Craft Gin Awards.

HEERLIK GIN
Made using our state of the art imported Müller copper still from Germany, the only one of its kind in South Africa, our Heerlik gin comprises an honestly good citrus based gin at an accessible price.
But our reasonable pricing structure does not mean any compromise on the time, effort and passion in the process.
All these products are made using no-corners-cut recipes, quality ingredients and traditional artisanal distilling methods.

HEERLIK BRANDY
Our brandy consists of forty percent five year old potstill brandy and sixty percent unaged brandy that was distilled in classic German eau de vie style.
We make our products as natural as possible.
No sugar or colouring added and the brandy is blended down to drinking strength with our own filtered mountain water, as we say, Just Brandy!
Our brandy has been awarded four and a half stars in the 2024 edition of Platter’s Wine Guide as well as a seal of good value.

HEERLIK Rum
French Carribean style rum distilled from molasses and aged for 9
months on french oak. Perfect as part of a cocktail or neat with a
block of ice. Bottled at 43 ABV – 750ml. R375 per bottle.

Husk Spirit
Distilled from Chardonnay husks from the Joubert-Tradauw wine cellar
in the Tradouw Valley. Platter’s guide describes it as “there is a
little traditional grappa rusticity but also a modern perfumed
quality. This vigorous, appropriately fiery-white version non vintage
from chardonnay has a citrus note showing through”. Matured in glass
for no less than
12 months before being bottled. Awarded 4 stars by Platter’s guide
2024. Bottled at 43 ABV – 500ml. R350 per bottle.

Premium Husk Spirit
Distilled from Shiraz husks from the Joubert-Tradauw wine cellar in the
Tradouw Valley. Aged in a small french oak cask for 9 months before
being bottled. Platter’s guide describes it as “suave,and smooth,
rather unctuous even.
A light fruitiness with a modest perfumed quality”. Awarded 4 stars
by Platter’s guide 2024. Bottled at 43 ABV – 500ml. R375 per bottle

Pear Kareau de Vie
Distilled from Bon Chretien pears from the Tradouw valley. The eau de
vie (or kareau de vie as we call it) was distilled in classic eau de
vie style with a perfumed nose and subtle but distinct pear flavours.
The distillate is matured in glass for a minimum of 12 months before
bottled. Bottled at 43 ABV – 500ml. R350 per bottle.

Peer Mampoer
The South African classic – distilled according to regulation to an
alcohol content of no more than 75 ABV from Bon Chretien pears from
the Tradouw Valley and diluted down to 50 ABV after maturing for 12
months in glass. Expect a more robust but flavourful and aromatic
distillate that is smooth on the palate given the relatively high
alcohol strength. Bottled at 43 ABV – 500ml. R375 per bottle.

Apricot Kareau de Vie
The eau de vie (or kareau de vie as we call it) was distilled in
classic eau de vie style. Beautiful aromatic nose and unexpectedly
dry but smooth on the palate. Made from apricots grown in the Tradouw
Valley. Bottled at 43 ABV – 500ml. R350 per bottle.

Citrus Flavoured Vodka
Distilled from five types of citrus grown in the Tradouw valley,
macerated in neutral alcohol and distilled – clean and crisp with
beautiful citrus flavours. Bottled at 43 ABV – 500ml. R325 per
bottle.
